Irish Life Health – Back Up

Back-Up offers expert assessment and treatment, should you need it, with up to 8 physio sessions for a one-off payment of just €50!

JT Physiotherapy is delighted to announce that it has been appointed as a provider of Irish Life Health Back-Up in County Donegal.


Irish Life Health Back-Up is primary care initiative to tackle back and neck pain through early intervention, clinical case management and physiotherapy treatment.


The service supports the Government’s Primary Care Strategy to deliver care in the community, by providing fast access to a personalised and tailored treatment program for eligible Irish Life Health Health members who develop acute back and neck pain.


Through the scheme Irish Life Health patients can receive up to 8 sessions of Physiotherapy for a once off fee of €50. Irish Life Health will pay the physiotherapist directly for all treatments, with the exception of the second treatment session, which will cost the patient €50.

PROTOCOL

If you start to experience any back or neck pain take the following steps to get Back-Up:

  • Step 1

    Call Irish Life Health Back-Up on 1890 717 717 and ask whether you are eligible for the scheme...

  • Step 2

    An Irish Life Health customer care agent will establish that you are an Irish Life member, ask a couple of questions and book a triage assessment with your dedicated clinical case manager at a time that is convenient for you.

  • Step 3

    Your Back-Up clinical case manager will assess your symptoms and advise a personalised treatment plan to help you feel great again. The Irish Life Health Back-Up service is designed to provide treatment and rehabilitation programs through a combination of physiotherapist visits, if clinically appropriate, and self-help exercises as required. You will be assigned a dedicated clinical case manager who will monitor your progress throughout the program with the aim of reducing pain or discomfort and getting you back to normal as quickly as possible.
